About Jake’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream and JV Frozen Confections
Jake's Old Fashioned Ice Cream & Sweet Shop operates a retail store in Amherst, NH. Offerings include Hand Made Candies and Baked Sweets as well as our Super
Premium Ice Cream, Frozen Yogurt and Sorbet. We have a beautiful indoor dining area with plenty of seating to enjoy our treats.
Jake's Old Fashioned Ice Cream & Sweet Shop and JV Frozen Confections is owned and operated by Roni Vetter. She has extensive experience with frozen desserts
and pastries as an award winning pastry chef with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Jake’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream has been in operation since 1988 in Milford, NH
and was added to the JV Frozen Confections product line in December of 2003.
We also supply institutions, restaurants and ice cream retailers with a variety of frozen offerings.
We believe that if you serve the best ice cream in town, you will attract more customers and keep them coming back for more. Please note the following advantages
of serving Jake’s super premium ice cream:
1. Lower overrun (the air added to the ice cream mix) resulting in a creamier, smoother taste. To be called super premium, an ice cream’s overrun must be lower than
50%. Jake’s super premium ice cream has an overrun of less than 30%.
2. Higher butterfat giving a richer taste. To be called super premium an ice cream’s butterfat must be 14% or higher. Jake’s super premium ice cream has a 14%+
butterfat content.
3. Smaller ice crystals resulting in a smoother product. Jake’s ice cream contains smaller ice crystals because it contains less air. Smaller ice crystals reduce
product “graininess”, which is caused when the product is warmed to scooping temperature and exposed to air.
4. Jake’s Ice Cream has over 30 standard flavors to choose from and many flavors you won't find anywhere else!
5. We also offer slices of our pies and cakes, brownies and cookies, available ala mode of course!
